One of the foremost galleries in the North West.

Internationally known names exhibit alongside those who are showing for the first time, making sure the gallery never stands still.

In 2005 Peter Stott,  owner of Red Barn Gallery, began his plan to bring art to Melkinthorpe, and transformed the adjacent 16C barn ‘Foster’s Barn’ into a contemporary Art Gallery.

Red Barn Gallery now is firmly cemented in the Art World, exhibitions change bi-monthly with a host of fine artists and ceramicists on show. Red Barn also has a permanent display of contemporary bespoke jewellery displayed throughout the year with the work of over 50 makers changing regularly.
