Bridge Pottery, Cheriton, Wales
Bridge Pottery, run by Micki Schloessingk is set in a beautiful environment, with the Burry Pill flowing through the garden on its way out to the estuary. There is a gallery and studio space for classes.
It attracts lovers of pots, potters and pottery students from all over the world. There are two making studios that easily open up to create one larger space, plus a clay room with pug mills and an extruder and an electric kiln.
The Gallery was designed by David Lea and is built of larch on oak stilts. It overlooks the Burry Pill and has received high acclaim in the architectural world.
In the Gallery they have a wide range of wheel thrown work such as cups, bowls and vases and also some hand built pieces: a wide variety of different forms including bottles, cups and tea bowls.
